Monitoring the Weather Beyond the Soltis Center

Release Date: Friday, Jul 28, 2017
In early July 2017, Dr. G. Moore (TAMU-Ecosystem Science and Management) and Dr. E. Gonzalez (TAMU-Soltis Center), installed three weather stations along the altitudinal gradient of the Penas Blancas river watershed. These new weather stations will complement the meteorological database already available for the Soltis Center, and will provide baseline information on rainfall, wind temperature, and relative humidity to better understanding the regional climate patterns. In coming days, with support of Dr. M. Mulligan (King's College of London), fog collectors will be installed at each site. Equally, in the near future, eco-hydrology and vegetation data will be added for each site. Please click on this link for additional information.
